Experience the city of the future in Friedrichshafen, Germany
18/11/2009
In Friedrichshafen, a German city located within the border triangle of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, right by the picturesque Lake Constance, the future can be experienced first hand.
Friedrichshafen is today home, for the first ever T-city project launched by Deutsche Telekom. The city has been equipped with state-of-the-art information and telecommunication technologies, and is being turned into a flagship model for sustainable urban environments of the future that meet the demands of our ever-greater networked society.
The T-city project pushes for turning ideas into reality that will greatly simplify, improve and benefit everyday life of each and every citizen. Various areas of interest will therefore undergo a great transformation with the application of the latest innovative products from the ICT sector.
For example, by employing e-Government services, administrative processes will be greatly simplified and help citizens to avoid spending endless hours of waiting in town halls. Through the installation of multi-media terminals in the city centre, tourists and visitors can easily and independently obtain the latest information about services and activities in Friedrichshafen, even for the hearing impaired, thus making it possible to enjoy their time in the city to maximum extent.
